My Clover lawn

So earlier this year I posted my progress. Well after the rainy season was over this spring my clover grew VERY well in the dead spots of my lawn. Areas that had grass already had only slight clover growth.

I noticed that the clover did not do well in direct sunlight, the broad leaves wilted quicker then the grass! I was quite surprised by this. However, once we had a rain the clover popped right back up. Every time after a dry spell this summer, direct sun and mowing the lawn. The clover would come right back to life.

My lawn usually turns brown from the dry hot Michigan weather. This year however my grass remained green. I'm not sure if we just had a more mild summer, or if the clover helped the grass by providing nitrogen into the soil.

I'm planning on planting some more clover this fall during the rainy weeks.
